Alberta Canucklehead
Other than that, I'm a third year Education Student at the University of Lethbridge, majoring in Social Studies. Because let's face it, politics and history are pretty awesome.

Hey Gang,
So I grew up in Central Alberta, where we used to learn about these mythical things in Southern Alberta called Chinooks. We were told this to be a wonderful warm wind that swooped in and made birds chirp and grass grow and all sorts of spring-y things within the confines of Winter. I imagined the wind from the movie “Pocahontas” - you know, the colourful leaves and songs and etc. It was all a fresh faced farm girl from small town central Alberta could ever want.
Now. I know the truth. CHINOOKS SUCK. They are truly henious and terrible. From my albiet limited experience, I have ascertained that they should be dreaded. Chinooks cause snow drifts to develop EVERYWHERE, making all form of transportation, especailly walking, a life threatening experience. And the wind is wet. Its bad enough that it will almost blow you away any time you venture beyond your front door, but its wet. That’s adding insult to injury, and I don’t like being kicked while I’m down.
And the worst part is….there’s not a thing I can do about it. So while you indigenious Southern Albertan’s celebrate, I’m going to stay in my house until this meterlogical atrocity is over and pine for central Alberta. While watching many episodes of “The Big Bang Theory” and “Criminal Minds.”
