Alberta Canucklehead

So I'm just a girl in the world of the Oilers and Flames, being a shining beacon of inspiration to get everyone to quit their erroneous ways and become Canucks Fans. The progress is decidedly slow.

Other than that, I'm a third year Education Student at the University of Lethbridge, majoring in Social Studies. Because let's face it, politics and history are pretty awesome.

Random Weekend Thoughts

Despite my quest to remain indoors for the duration of this Chinook, I have been forced from my house to face the world. And what a bizarre world it is.

For example, while waiting at a red light at Whoop-Up and Jerry Potts and whatever is across from Potts (Columbia?) on Saturday afternoon, a white car pulled up beside me. I looked over and in the passenger seat of the car was a guy in a blindfold, trying desperately to find the 2” wide gap left by the rolled down window to shake the ashes off his cigarette. After laughing hysterically at his plight for the duration of the light, he look of his blindfold and waved at me. Way to make my Saturday, blindfolded guy with a great sense of humor. I sure hope you weren’t being abducted and were trying to signal for help. (I told you Criminal Minds has made me paranoid!)

That was bizarre-o incident number one. Number two happened today. I was walking down the hall when a girl in a tube top and short shorts walked out in front of me. I sincerely hope she lives in res, because otherwise she is in for a mean surprise when reality steps in and shatters her delusion that its July. I know, remembering what season it is can be difficult, especially since Mother Nature in Alberta is prone to mood swings. But really now - short shorts?

As for this evening, I would love it if the Canucks would win tonight. But I think we would all love that.

Go Canucks Go!
