You may have noticed - I love hockey. In my room in my parents’ house, I still have a wall of great hockey pictures hanging on the wall. I miss my hockey wall more than words can say. Sometimes a picture just seems to capture an entire moment, or a whole player, or a great dynamic, all in one simple picture. These are some of my favourite hockey pictures.
1. Todd Bertuzzi
I love Todd Bertuzzi. As a Canuck, he was my favourite. My love for Todd Bertuzzi made me fall in love with hockey. I respected that he was so big and tough, yet he wasn’t a 4th line plug. This picture is Todd Bertuzzi to me.
2. Luongo and Naslund
Call me sentimental, but I love this. Naslund always has had cool interactions with his goaltenders.
3. Jose Theodore at the Winter Classic
How great of an idea is this? I love this picture because I remember the winter classic - it was so ridiculously cold! But it was also a blast.
Annnnd last, but not least, and why this blog is relevant to today….
4. 2002 Olympic Gold Win
I love Team Canada with all my heart. More than the Canucks and Colts combined. And 2002 was so fantastic. It was actually one of the first hockey games I watched, and I’m pretty sure I fell in love. I hope that this year’s Olympics ends with the same result, and with an equally perfect picture.
